5 StarsThe desk is well made
The desk is well made and looks just as I expected. The desks are connected together with screws and reinforcement plates, with no predrilled holes. Requires 2 person min for installation.
4 StarsGood Desk
Be wary when selecting the walnut option, as the colour is darker than it appears on the website (when I ordered, clearly it was the older bamboo option that was still on display). The desk itself is what you'd expect. My only complaint is how the legs connect to the desktop. Once set-up and if you're not moving the desk, it's perfectly fine. But if you try and move the desk, you'll notice the structural weakness between the two pieces. It could be better designed in that sense.
1 StarInconsistent wood top
The desk is solid, and fits my space really well. Unfortunately, one of the pieces for the desktop came damaged, And even more problematic in that, the two wood pieces that make up the L-shaped desk are completely inconsistent in their grain, coloring, and appearance. I completely accept that no wood grain product will be identical, and I like the natural variation of wood. However, these two pieces look like they are completely different species altogether. I have raise my concerns with Eq3 And the tops are being replaced with the white version, to ensure consistency. I would say I am moderately satisfied with this outcome, as I think having a painted top will be the only way to ensure apparent consistency, but overall very disappointed in their quality control.
1 StarBuyer Beware: the worst desk ever
I purchased this desk with the expectation I would be getting a quality product given it is from EQ3 and the price. However, it ended up being the most awfully designed and problematic product I have ever purchased. Initially the desk arrived with spots/stains in the wood, a broken leg, and no instructions. Customer service was great and sent a replacement but it meant I went almost two moths total with no desk/home office. When the replacement table top and parts finally came, the process of setting up the most horribly designed product I have ever seen began. The major issue is that the screws need to go into the table top through gaping, deep holes that are deeper than the screw itself. It is impossible to assemble it without dropping screws into the metal legs. Customer support’s solutions were useless and included picking up a massive L shape desk and shaking it to get the screws out of the legs or going to the hardware store to purchase more screws and keep trying and/or just leaving some screws out. Imagine that…paying $1500 for a desk and EQ3s solution to not being able to assemble it is to just not assemble it. They continue to give me the run around wanting photos and other information on a desk they already know is defective. Avoid this desk. I’ll be avoiding EQ3 altogether from now on after this experience.
